Prior to construction, we knew the Village Theatre needed someone special, someone that understood what going to the movies was and still should be all about. We were fortunate to obtain the talents of Theatre Designer Joseph Musil, the man responsible for the superb restoration on the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, among others.
Completed prior to his untimely passing, Mr. Musil's design concept for our Main Auditorium does not disappoint, with its red velvet curtains, regal custom designed carpet and breathtaking hand painted murals, all soaked in a sumptuous atmosphere that is Coronado at the movies. Mr. Musil's vision was completed and brought to life by the talents of Ronald Wright and Brian White and now serves as a brilliant tribute to his vision and magic.
